In essence, it refers to the collision of differing human interests. Hardly anyone likes conflict. On the other hand, what would life be like without conflict? A life without conflict would be a life without friction, tension and contradictions. The ability to deal with conflict is the driving force behind human development and is essential for shaping our relationships.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-kjtri1ay-414437797d59a18f94b30b0472bc22a9 '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe same leaves us in peace, but contradiction is what makes us productive.\u201d<br \/>\n(J.W.v. Do you know the liberating feeling after conflicts have been addressed and dealt with constructively? New clarity emerges, strength is generated and positive processing &#8211; the path of peaceful conflict &#8211; creates more closeness and trust. Conversely, unresolved conflicts inhibit productivity and impair the success of the organization. Avoiding conflict therefore often comes at a very high price &#8211; for the individual, for teams and for the entire organization.    <\/p>\n<p>In conflicts or verbal attacks, one of the requirements is to be able to deal constructively with one&#8217;s own emotions, as conflicts are strongly driven by feelings and emotions. Under pressure, people show an aggressive or passive defense pattern (neuromuscular blockages). The old brain regions (reptilian brain and limbic system) take over. And these differences can occur within individuals, but also between individuals, teams, in organizational structures or in the environment: <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>A <strong>(social) conflict<\/strong> arises when people are mutually dependent and under pressure to make decisions and at least one person experiences an incompatibility in thinking, wanting, feeling or with regard to pursuing or achieving goals.<\/p>\n<p>An<strong> inner conflict<\/strong> is usually related to decisions that need to be made. According to the research findings of Fritz Glasl, if a conflict is not dealt with constructively, it is highly likely that positions will harden and lead to personal attacks. The parties are then no longer able to maneuver out of the deadlocked situation on their own.  <\/p>\n<p>Within companies, however, differences of any kind can be an important resource if those responsible (e.g. managers) know how to make good use of them.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-kjtri1ay-414437797d59a18f94b30b0472bc22a9 '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h3>&#8230;and offer opportunities<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Reducing tensions &#8211; as long as a conflict remains unresolved, it preoccupies those involved and ties up energy. Only when the conflict has been resolved are the people involved free from internal tensions and impairments. <\/li>\n<li>Further development &#8211; If conflicts are avoided, things often come to a standstill. Teams or organizations get comfortable, which leads to serious disadvantages in competition. Constructively managed differences and conflicts, on the other hand, are the driving force behind any further development.  <\/li>\n<li>Setting boundaries &#8211; when I address conflicts, I set boundaries with my fellow human beings and make it clear what I will and will not accept.<\/li>\n<li>Getting to know each other better &#8211; when I get to know the boundaries of the other person, they become tangible for me. It is important to accept that there is not just <em>one<\/em> truth. And everyone involved should not only recognize their own interests, but also those of the other person. This is the basis for a clarifying discussion. It is also essential that all parties involved are genuinely and seriously interested in finding a joint solution.    <\/p>\n<p>How we act is generally perceived more than what we say. Conflict management literally means taking the conflict \u201cin hand\u201d (Latin manus, the hand).
