Strengthen Personal Skills

Time and Self Management

If you were to think now, at this moment, about how you normally organize your time – both at work and in your private life: What would be the result? Are you satisfied with the result? Is it in line with your goals and needs? Are you getting the things done that are important to you?

Good self-organization is needed to ensure that things are done on time and according to priority, even with a high workload and pressure of tasks. This includes the ability to keep the different areas of your life in balance with each other. Have you ever asked yourself how full the individual areas of your personal wheel of life are?

Wheel of Life – What is That?

In today’s fast-paced and constantly changing world, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to juggle all the things that matter to us. With developments like the rise of remote work and ongoing digitalization, the boundaries between work and personal life are becoming ever more blurred. As a result, many people are shifting their focus from striving for a “work-life balance” to seeking a meaningful and fulfilling “life balance” – one in which professional work is just one of several integral parts of life. The underlying premise is that time is only perceived as being used productively when personal self-management takes all areas of the individual’s wheel of life into account. And to make that possible, it’s sometimes necessary to say a clear “no” – something that can, in fact, be learned.

What shapes our work

Our approach to an individual time and self-management draws on a range of well-established methods and models. These include classics such as David Allen’s Getting Things Done, Stephen R. Covey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, the Wheel of Life model, the Zurich Resource Model (ZRM®) by Dr. Maja Storch and Dr. Frank Krause, as well as interventions from the interdisciplinary field of psychoneuroimmunology (PNI).
This leads us to the following key questions and topics that we address in our workshops and seminars:
  • It’s all about energy. How do I distribute my energy and what energy robbers are in my life?
  • The power of habit and inner drivers
  • Awareness and balancing of your own wheel of life
  • Dealing with a flood of information and a multitude of communication channels
  • Saying no – cancel, set boundaries, decide
  • Collaboration tools for successful collaboration in groups and teams
  • Digital and other helpers for planning and relieving stress
  • Mindfulness with myself and others
  • Remain capable of action even in stressful situations

Together with our clients, we always keep the shared goal in sight: stepping off the hamster wheel and moving toward a fulfilling life balance.

Workshops on time and self-management
– this is how we proceed:

Every person is unique. That’s why, following an initial clarification of objectives, we start a workshop by reflecting on participants’ individual work situations. Especially when it comes to self-management it takes more than just general input, useful tools, and best-practice examples – it requires space for personal reflection and meaningful transfer into one’s own context. As systemic consultants, coaches and trainers, we look at the big picture and find a suitable focus for every environment. We place strong emphasis on practical techniques and co-creative methods.
