Coaching
Coaching is support and consulting.
However, it is a form of consulting that refrains from patronizing advice. The term originates from the Hungarian word “kocsi,” meaning “carriage” or “coach.” Coaching can therefore be likened to a journey or a process that leads from a starting point A to a desired destination B. In this analogy, the coach is comparable to a carriage driver, who is given the destination and is responsible for selecting a safe and effective route. However, unlike a passive passenger, the coachee is encouraged to take a significantly more self-responsible role throughout the process.
Coaching: What for?
We understand coaching as the method of choice when it comes to change, clarification or development, specifically in matters that an individual can influence themselves. Our approach is grounded in a systemic understanding, which assumes that change always occurs in relation to the surrounding environment and therefore requires careful consideration of diverse interdependencies.
The aim of a coaching process is to:
